The Catherine is a luxurious mixed-use residential property located in Santa Monica’s downtown area. Phase I development consists of 90 units, within an amenity-rich 77,758 square feet building featuring a pool and sun deck, a screening room, yoga and Zen decks, a co-working area, and a generous lounge-entertainment space. Retail shops occupy part of the ground floor.

Phase II of the Catherine consists of two 5-story buildings totaling 155,450 square feet, including 191 units and 11,402 square feet of ground-floor commercial space over two levels of subterranean parking. Construction is Type III-A residential plus a Type I parking garage with 287 spaces. Residents enjoy a wide range of amenities, including a saltwater pool, rooftop deck with kitchen, internet cafe, micromarket, tot lot, fitness center, yoga deck, screening room, and game room.

Jade delivered high-performance metal framing and drywall solutions across the full scope of the project, including apartments, retail zones, and luxury amenity spaces. The exterior slope floating ceiling demonstrated the technical excellence and was a true showpiece.

The 90-unit first phase of Catherine Santa Monica was honored as an ENR 2021 Regional Best Project and ENR 2021 Excellence in Sustainability Project.

Phase 2 of Catherine Santa Monica won a 2022 ENR SoCal District Award of Merit, a 2023 Los Angeles Business Journal CRE Gold Award, and a 2022 ABC Southern California Chapter Excellence in Construction Award.
